There is a lot happening in the Oldenbarneveld district, and no one knows this better than the residents themselves. That’s why we started the Key Figures project at the Bronveld community centre: active residents who are dedicated to strengthening, securing, and connecting their streets or neighbourhoods. A key figure is a familiar face in the community, someone who knows what’s going on, listens, and assists others with questions or problems. The key figure is not a care provider, but an important link between residents and local support.
In collaboration with Welzijn Barneveld and other organisations active in the neighbourhood, the key figures contribute to an engaged and resilient community. We make a difference – simply by being present, raising questions and assisting people further.
